Why Kris created Sparks Social Abilities
With extensive experience in residential care and child safety advocacy in the Cairns region, founder Kris Sparks identified a critical gap in the disability sector: many individuals lacked genuine friendships, meaningful connections, and a true sense of belonging.
Driven by this observation, Kris established Sparks Social Abilities—a safe, inclusive, and welcoming community space where people with disabilities can pursue activities they love, form authentic relationships, and experience the joy of belonging.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to spark lasting connections and foster a vibrant, supportive community that celebrates every individual.
