While Sparks Social Abilities was officially established in 2025, the journey really began back in 2022 under the name Kids Social Abilities. Kris started running small after school social groups out of local community centres with one goal in mind, to provide children with a safe and supportive social outlet where they could connect with others, build confidence and feel included outside of the school and home.
Over the years, those programs continued to grow alongside the needs of the families and participants we supported. As more children, families and eventually adults began reaching out for additional support, Kids Social Abilities evolved into Sparks Social Abilities, expanding our services to provide tailored programs and supports for both children and adults across the community.
Today, our services include social groups, school holiday and after school activities, in-home and daily living support, and community-based outings, all designed around individual interests, goals, and comfort levels. Our focus remains the same as when we first started creating safe, inclusive environments where participants can build confidence, create meaningful connections and enjoy every day experiences in a way that feels natural and empowering.
